Internet Explorer remembers Web pages you have visited in its internal history directory as well as other data related to your Internet browsing.  Periodically, you may wish to clear out such data.  This can be achieved easily by following the steps below:


1. Click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop to open up Internet Explorer.

2. Click the Tools selection in the menu at the top of the IE window, then click Internet Options

 

3. In the Internet Options pop up box, click the Clear History box as shown below:

 

4. A pop-up box will ask you to confirm that you wish to clear the history of previously visited Web pages. Click Yes, then OK button to close the Internet Options box and to return to Internet Explorer.

5. As an extra security measure, you may also delete the cookies and temporary Internet files stored on your PC by clicking 'Delete Cookies...' and 'Delete Files...', respectively.
