Release / Renew Your IP Address - Macintosh

1. To release your IP address, click on the Apple Menu, highlight Control Panels, and select TCP/IP.


2. Change Connect via: from Ethernet to PPP.

 

3. Your TCP/IP should now look similar to the window below. Close TCP/IP by clicking the square button at the top left of the TCP/IP (Pipeline) box and save your changes.

 


4. Click Save.

 


5. To renew your IP address, click on the Apple Menu, highlight Control Panels, and select TCP/IP.


6. Change Connect via: back to Ethernet and set Configure: to Using DHCP Server. Close program and save your changes.


7. Click Save.
